This policy explains what information Docnizer collects, how it is used to organize your documents, and the controls available to you.

Docnizer is built to help people store, organize, search, and retrieve personal documents. We use your information only to provide the service, protect accounts, improve reliability, and meet legal or operational requirements.
Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email address, and optional profile details.
- Uploaded documents, images, filenames, document metadata, and extracted text or summaries.
- Organization data such as categories, folders, person profiles, reminders, and document status.
- Usage and device data needed for security, troubleshooting, and service reliability.
How we use information
- Provide document upload, storage, OCR, categorization, search, reminders, and AI-assisted summaries.
- Maintain account access, email verification, password reset, and security notices.
- Detect abuse, debug errors, monitor reliability, and improve product quality.
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations where required.
Email communications
- Email is required for account verification and login security.
- Verification emails are sent only after explicit user action.
- Verification codes expire automatically.
- Resend throttling and per-user/device/IP rate limits are applied.
- No newsletters or promotional/marketing emails.
Storage and security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted through authenticated systems and account-scoped controls. Docnizer does not currently claim end-to-end encryption.
- Cloud infrastructure is used for document storage, database services, and key management.
- Google Sign-In can be used as an optional sign-in method where available.
- AI and OCR processing are used to organize and summarize documents inside Docnizer.
Privacy principles
We follow privacy-first principles such as data minimization, purpose-based processing, limited access, and user-driven deletion controls.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with service providers needed to operate Docnizer, with your direction, or when legally required.
